The lightning location detector observations from the Finnish Meteorological Institute on the map of Finland.

The data updates every 5 minutes. The map view is zoomable and movable. The map background is based on data from the National Land Survey of Finland. The language of the interface (Finnish or English) is selected based on the device's interface language.

NEW: You can now save the current situation using the screen capture function. Print, archive, or share the saved image with your friends, for example on Facebook via the Android image gallery.

Additional features you get when you have installed Unlocker:

• TIME MACHINE
  Did thunder strike last night or last summer? Choose your desired day and start the animation - the time machine covers all observations since 1998!
• OWN LOCATION
  The application fetches your location and displays it on the map. Your location updates automatically or manually based on your choice. New: you can also save your current location with a chosen name.
• SAVED LOCATIONS
  Save the coordinates of places that interest you in the application. You can also mark any saved location to be used as the starting point for the distance meter.
• DISTANCE METER
  Touch a lightning strike - the distance ruler indicates the distance to the lightning strike from your current location or from any saved location!
• MULTIPLE MAPS
  You can select a more detailed map base than the basic one or an elevation map base. You can also change the map's background color and the distance meter's color to your preference.

Note: If you are not using GPS on your phone/tablet or if it's not working, for example, indoors, adjust settings as follows:

• Settings :: Update frequency of your own location === "Manually"
  - This way, your own location won't be displayed on the map.
• Settings :: Maximum distance for lightning alert === "No alert"
  - This way, you will avoid unnecessary error messages related to location searches.
